I have a couple of 802.p/D2 items in my notes from the La Jolla meeting, that I am not sure were reflected in the instructions to the Editor attached to the minutes. 1) Group Registration (2.6.9.2) and Initial Membership Registration (9.5.1.1) seem to imply that a mistake in the address registered would disrupt connectivity for that address. For example a service user requesting registration to the Broadcast address would prevent Broadcast propagation to all other ports. The consensus at the meeting was to address this by allowing management to limit the range of addresses that allow registration. 2) Allow registration of static entries (9.1 a) and b) defines dynamic entries only). A MANAGER_REGISTER_GROUP_MEMBER primitive probably needs to be added under 2.6.9 Thanks, Ariel Hendel hendel@eng.sun.com
