Paul,

I am not an authority on this, but I can only assume that this proposal
to associate a macaddr with a priority is related to the current draft
supplement to 802.1D, which proposes Dynamic Multicast Filtering Groups.
This in effect maps a unicast macaddr to be used as a functional multicast
group address, and implies to me that a station will respond to more than
one address - its "old" one for normal priority traffic, and this Dynamic
Multicast Group macaddr for its high priority (video) traffic.
