Imagine we have a two port switch, with ports A, B. If a group G is joined on port A, then this causes a ReqJoin event to occur in the Applicant state machine for group G on port B. [But not in the Applicant state machine for port A (see Fig 9-3 example)] However, what happens if group G is subsequently joined on port B ? Does this cause a ReqJoin event to occur in the Applicant state machine for group G on port A ? My interpretation of 9.7.1.2.1 b) was that it did not, so if group G is subsequently left on port A, the Applicant state machine for group G will still be in the OUT state on port A. This is incorrect. Have I misinterpreted 9.7.1.2.1 b) ?
