Somehow I feel that Anil's message referenced above does not accurately reflect the full discussion of formats A and B that took place at the June interim, and reflects more of a personal view. That's OK, as Anil identifies the message as "my cut at the properties" as opposed to a transcription of the pros and cons as they were discussed (which is what I thought he was going to do). Anyway, I think that there's more to say about format A, and I'd like to apply for a time slot at Twente to do so. Unfortunately, I'm on vacation right now (and will be catching a train from Milan to Rome in 45 min.), so I won't be able to prepare anything or engage in much, if any, of an e-mail discussion before my return to work on July 1. As a final note, I believe that the sense of the June meeting was to limit the discussion to *interpretations* of the format that we resolved upon in March, and not on "any new and improved methods" (as opposed to interpretations), i.e., not a completely different frame structure on 802.5 and FDDI. I made an attempt to capture as many points of discussion as I could remember, and will be glad to incorporate any others that may have been missed. Regards, Anil
