** Necessary and Sufficient: (no/low debates) **

o  Port Based VLAN classification
o  Single Spanning Tree
o  "Baby Giants" are OK (802.3ac?)
o  No MIB agreement (each vendor does their own while we
   while for an IEFT MIB)
o  Get a P-Type for the tag (IEEE or company volunteer)
o  Simple tag

o  No GVRP (all static configuration)
o  Egress == Ingress for port list (no Unidirectional VLANs)
o  Multiple FWD ( 1 per VLAN )

** Future Work: **

o  More sophisticated VLAN classifications
o  Hierarchical VLAN mechanisms, 2 level tagging
o  Multiple Spanning Tree / Dual Level / "other"
o  Topology management and configuration conflict
   resolution protocols
