[STDS-802-11-AANI] Reminder AANI SC Teleconference Monday 7/6 @ 9:00-10:00 am EDT

The upcoming AANI SC teleconference is scheduled for Monday 6 July @ 9:00-10:00am EDT.

The current agenda is (11-20/0983r0):

  1. Call for Secretary
  2. Administrative: Reminders, Rules, Guidelines, Resources,  Participation, Approval of Minutes
  3. Background/Status
  4. Technical Discussion / Contributions
    • On interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN
      1. “Draft technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN" 11-20/0013r3 (promised prior to the meeting)
      2. Other related contributions (please notify the Chair as soon as possible)
  5. Proposed Straw Poll: Should the AANI SC request an 802.11 WG comment collection on the “Draft technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN" 11/20/0013R3 document?
  6. Future Planning

We will continue the discussion on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN and work towards finalizing “Draft technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN" – with a goal of sharing the report with the 802.11 WG at the upcoming July Plenary teleconferences, and starting a WG comment collection on the report.

 

 

The plan for progressing the report on WLAN and 3GPP 5G after this teleconference is:  

  • Monday 13 July during the 802.11 WG opening plenary meeting (9:00 am – 11:00 am EDT) see WG plenary agenda for details (https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-0868-00-0000-2020-july-working-group-agenda.xlsx) inform the WG of the existence and plan for completing the report during the AANI SC report
  • Tuesday 14 July @ 9:00 am EDT (Additional edits as necessary, based on inputs received on the reflector or during the WG Opening Plenary)
  • Once, the AANI SC has agreed the report is ready for a 802.11 WG comment collection, launch the comment collection
  • Resolve the comments
  • Bring a motion to the 802.11 WG which endorses the report.
  • Bring motions appropriate starting activities to address the endorsed findings of the report.
