[STDS-802-11-AANI] AANI - Upcoming 802.11 WG Comment Collection on: 11-20/0013 “Draft technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN”

Hi All,

 

As discussed and supported by the Straw Poll taken during the 28 July AANI SC Teleconference a 20 day 802.11 Working Group (WG) comment collections on: 11-20/0013 “Draft technical report on interworking between 3GPP 5G network & WLAN”, Hyun Seo OH (ETRI), et al. is being prepared to be started some time this week (on or about 31 July).  

In support of this activity, I’ve posted a PDF version of the document with line numbers: https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/20/11-20-0013-05-AANI-draft-technical-report-on-interworking-between-3gpp-5g-network-wlan.pdf to be used in the WG comment collection.  This document: accepts all changes in 11-20/0013r4 and provides some minor editorial changes (spelling/grammar) to align the draft with the 802.11 editorial style (US English – based on the latest edition of Merriam-Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary).

All interested individuals are welcome to participate in the upcoming 802.11 WG comment collection and comment resolution activities in the AANI SC teleconferences.    Note: the AANI SC is open to all individuals and anyone may contribute to this activity (you do not need to be an 802.11 Member or Voting Member, though you do need an IEEE Account - which is available to all: https://www.ieee.org/profile/public/createwebaccount/showRegister.html).    

The AANI SC Comment Resolution plan is:

1.Tuesday 25 August 9:00am-10:00am ET: Review comments, Assign comments for resolution.

2.Tuesday 1 September 9:00am-10:00am ET: Comment resolution

3.Tuesday 8 September 9:00am-10:00am ET: Comment resolution

Assuming all comments can be resolved prior to the September 2020 802.11 WG electronic (Teleconference) Interim meeting (meeting dates to be announced),  The updated document will be submitted to the 802.11 WG for endorsement.
