[STDS-802-11-ARC] ARC meeting during 802.11 plenary week?

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 ARC Reflector ---

All,

At this point, I am not intending to propose an ARC meeting during the 802.11 plenary week.  I don’t see any items for an ARC agenda that are particularly urgent, or even have much momentum to continue working on them.

I’ll note that we have several topics that are related to other work, however, that may need to stay coordinated, so if anyone has any thoughts on the following, where we should discuss the topic in ARC to allow other parallel work to continue and still stay coordinated, please let me know:

  • TGbd’s activities in support of IEEE 1609
  • Nendica and TGbe’s discussion on 802.11 Deterministic Network/Time-Sensitive Networking
  • 802.1’s work on clarifying EPD/LPD.
  • Architecture concepts in TGbc
  • Architecture concepts in TGbd
  • Is TGbe’s multi-link concept ready for Architecture concepts discussion/review?
  • IEEE 1588 mapping to 802.11/802.1AS, and TGaz activities in this area

Also, topics which are mostly self-contained within ARC, where I believe we can continue to wait until a F2F opportunity to have better dialog/brainstorming – but please let me know if anyone would like these discussed sooner:

  • “What is a STA?” (Terminology in our architecture)
  • Off-channel TDLS architecture
  • Annex G’s purpose and value, and a way forward proposal
  • MLME-RESET, MLME-START, MLME-JOIN, MLME-SCAN and MLME-STOP relationships, completeness

Or, anything else anyone would like to suggest for an ARC meeting?

Thanks.  Mark
