Subject: Call for Nominations: IEEE Computer Society Leadership Positions

*This message is sent on the behalf of IEEE CS Nominations Committee Chair Jean-Luc Gaudiot*

Dear Standard Activities Board Members,

The Computer Society Nominations Committee seeks potential nominees for 2019 president-elect, first and second vice president, and Board of Governors members*.

Strong leadership is critical to the vitality of the IEEE Computer Society.  On behalf of the Nominations Committee, I request you to consider this challenge carefully, and recruit qualified individuals for the nominations slate.   Self-nominations are encouraged, but you may also nominate an individual.

Please direct candidates to the Call for Nominations web page at https://www.computer.rg/web/election/nominations for more information.  The nominations form is also attached to this message.

Nominations should be sent to csnominations@xxxxxxxxxxxx on or before Monday, 2 April 2018.

*Note that the Computer Society Board of Governors is in the process of amending its Bylaws to change the number of elected Board members from a total of 21 (seven positions elected annually for three year terms) to 18 (six positions elected annually for three year terms). If the required Bylaws approvals are completed by June 2018, the 2018 election will elect six rather than seven positions.

Thanks for your continuing support of the IEEE Computer Society.
