[STDS-802-11-CAC] Managing the noise on a Webex Call

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Chairs' Advisory Committee Reflector ---
Hi TG Chairs,
When you are the "host" of the call, you can control the noise from people joining.

Please consider adjusting the call at the beginning.
when you first start the call, from the WebEx Desktop app.
after you have Host control, please go to the Participant menu
click the "Mute on Entry"
Unclick the "Entry and Exit Tone"

This morning for example, TGbe (MAC) was getting very noisy with people joining and dropping ( a tone each time).
Also there was a lot of background noise for new people joining.
BY activating the "Mute on Entry" setting, it also helps people start in Mute and minimize background interruptions.

Also, you can select the "Mute All" which will mute everyone except the presenter.  So you can help quiet the call quickly and not interrupt the presenter.

I hope this helps,
Jon
