[STDS-802-11-TGAY] "obsolete" DMG OFDM 17/1238r2

Hi all,

Please note that revision 2 of 1238 is uploaded by Graham based on Lei H.'s feedback:
https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/17/11-17-1238-02-000m-resolution-for-obsolete-dmg-ofdm.docx

In September interim, I've allocated 45 minutes for the group to review 1238r2 on Thursday AM2.   In case you will not be present in September interim but would like to comment, I would suggest you provide your feedback through the email reflector or contact Graham.

Regards,
Edward

Hi all,

Graham has prepared a submission (17/1238r1) that lists the page and line numbers he propose to remove in response to our discussion this Wednesday.   Please refer to his email below for details, and if possible, provide him your comment.

I will also schedule sometime (either in teleconference or in September interim) so that we can walk through his submission in details.

Regards,
Edward

Hi,

Re:  DMG OFDM

CID 64 in 11md is a comment to remove DMG OFDM from the Standard.  This was discussed today in 11ay and the consensus was to remove it.

Please note that 17/1238r0 has been submitted to Mentor and is the first pass at detailing the removal instructions.  Note that the reference is 802.11md D0.1.

This is a request for those skilled in the DMG field to review this document.  If you have any comments please send them to me.

In addition would the editors for 11md (Emily and Edward) please look at the instructions for Figure 20-21 at 1658.1 and confirm if they are clear enough.  If you need me to alter the figure, would you please send me a Visio version of it.

Thanks

Graham
