[STDS-802-11-TGAY] Timeline update and PAR extension request granted
Hi,
As per our discussion in the July 2019 plenary last week, the
following is the latest timeline for the development of our amendment:
2019/09: Third recirculation WGLB on Draft 5.0
2019/11: Seek EC approval for SA technical letter ballot
2019/11: Fourth recirculation WGLB on Draft 5.0 (i.e., unchanged draft)
2019/12: Initial SA technical letter ballot (Draft 5.0)
2020/03: First recirculation SA letter ballot (Draft 6.0)
2020/04: Second Recirculation SA Ballot (Draft 7.0)
2020/05: Third Recirculation SA Ballot (Draft 7.0 unchanged)
2020/07: Final 802.11 WG approval
2020/07: Final EC approval
2020/09: RevCom & Standards Board Final
Please note that the timeline is highly dependent on the development
of our two baseline standards/amendments: 802.11md and 802.11ax. We
would review the timeline again in the September interim.
As a separate note, the IEEE 802 Executive Committee has approved our
PAR extension request (19/0673r0), which is originally expired on
December 31, 2019. Given the approval, our PAR is extended for 2
years till December 31, 2021.
