Re: [STDS-802-11-TGAZ] CID 1521

Hi Roy and all,

I am trying to understand what our plans for the MLME sections are. Looks like for passive location ranging we need to add a figure corresponding to Figure 16-7c (Trigger Based Sounding Exchange for Ranging) with the extra time-stamps, etc., that are being passed.

Looks like we for non-TB and TB ranging in 802.11az only pass the time stamps in the MLME-FINETIMINGMSMT.indication.  I presume here we would need to add fields/elements for the passive location ranging time-stamps and CFO and such. (Just a little different from the TB ranging case.)

In the MLME-FINETIMINGMSMT.request we seem to be missing section for the referred NGP Parameter element. We do have an entry and reference to the Fine Timing Measurements Parameters element though. (Do we need more than that here?)

Is there maybe someone who has a good handle of what we need to specify in the MLME sections?

Erik

On the one hand we have figures and comments that refer to the t1, t2, etc. time stamps but then in the actual MLME messages are marked as not applying to

Erik,

So you are asking for CID:1521  which is in section 6.3.56.1.

There are other comments in that section. I'm assuming you want the whole section?

Your more recent email suggests a larger scope too. Please can you respond with the exact list of sections you are asking for.

Thanks,

You are right, then I’ll ask to have it assigned to me.

1521 is not assigned to me … do you mean 1531/1532?

Hi Christian,

The figure asked for ‘Passive Location Ranging’ in CID 1521 should probably be located in one of the sections I have assigned to me so if you want I can take on this CID.

Erik
