[STDS-802-11] Fwd: FW: On LPWAN @ IETF 99

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
All,

FYI, relevant to IoT applications, please see https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-lpwan-ipv6-static-context-hc-04 and
the upcoming IETF code generation activity described in the email below..

<snip>
This document describes a header compression scheme and fragmentation
functionality for very low bandwidth networks. These techniques are
especially tailored for LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network) networks.

Subject: [ieee-ietf-coord] On LPWAN @ IETF 99

Dear all:

During the next Hackathon in Prague, 15-16 of July, a LoRaWAN and a Sigfox network will be available to perform test of the SCHC compression mechanism defined in draft-ietf-lpwan-ipv6-static-context.

Hack objectives are:
*        allow developers to understand SCHC behavior and implement their own version of the mechanism
*        test interoperability between the existing implementations
*        define compression and fragmentation rules related to specific traffic

People are invited to come with their own devices; alternatively they may use the pycom devices organizers will bring along.

The chairs are very sorry for IEEE participants that the meeting happens late in the week (that's Friday morning).
We made every effort with our A-D Suresh Krishnan and the IETF Agenda to move the session earlier but there was no solution that could satisfy the various collisions at earlier times.

Cheers,

Pascal
