Re: [STDS-802-11] Security vulnerability in 802.11

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
All,

TGmd will consider submissions related to the identified vulnerabilities during the upcoming November 2017 meeting in Orlando.
I am currently proposing to add these to the agenda on Monday and Tuesday; the Tuesday PM session
does not overlap with 11ax.

Please let me know if you are planning to bring a submission.

Thanks,

Dorothy

Dear 802.11 participants,

You are by now no doubt aware of reports of security vulnerabilities in 802.11,  the so called KRACK attack.

I have set up a security expert ad-hoc to advise me on how to respond to this attack.
The ad-hoc consists of:
a.    Adrian Stephens
b.    Dorothy Stanley
c.    Jouni Malinen
d.    Mike Montemurro
e.    Peter Yee
f.    Russ Housley
g.    Nancy Cam-Winget
h.    Paul Nikolich
i.    Jon Rosdahl
j.    Dan Harkins

Based on their advice,  I have asked Dorothy Stanley,  as chair of TGm, to consider this matter as soon as possible.
