Re: [STDS-802-11] TGba tentative agenda for the call on August 19th, 5pm ET (2 hour)

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---

Hi Alfred,

Thank you for preparing the CRs. I have some comments:

- 19/1431:

For CID 3403 “Figure 12-47a-WIGTK KDE” should also be referenced:

If WUR frame protection is negotiated, the authenticator may distribute one new WIGTK and WIPN when it distributes a new GTK. The WIGTK is identified by the MAC address of the transmitting STA plus the WIGTK identifier that is encoded in the Key ID field (see Figure 12-47a-WIGTK KDE, 9.4.2.301 (WUR PN Update element) and 9.4.2.47 (Fast BSS Transition element)).(#3403)

-19/1433:

CR for CID3029 added the following sentence in D3.1, which also addresses the keep alive issue:

If a WUR non-AP STA, which is in WUR mode and doze state, does not receive WUR Beacon frames for a time period, the WUR non-AP STA should perform WUR scanning (see 29.12 (WUR Discovery)) or transition to awake state. The methods by which the WUR non-AP STA determines the exact value of the time period are implementation specific and out of scope of this standard.(#3029)

Also requiring AP to transmit a WUR frame every On duration may be a bit overkill, especially for WUR STAs with short Duty Cycle period. Perhaps once every KEEP_ALIVE_PERIOD would suffice, KEEP_ALIVE_PERIOD either indicated by the WUR STA or being a fixed value?

-19/1060:

- Redundant instruction to TGba editor right after Discussion.

- Resolution for 3278 is missing.

Best Regards,

Rojan

Dear all,

Please find a tentative agenda for the call on August 19, 5pm ET (2 hours). Please let me know if you have any other contributions for the call.

Our plan is to complete the comment resolution in the September meeting at Hanoi so if you have volunteered for the unresolved CIDs, please make full use of the teleconference calls.

*** Dial-in information is https://join.me/IEEE802.11.  ***

Here is a tentative agenda for the call:
1. Call meeting to order
2. Agenda setting
3. Patent policy (link at the end of the email)
4. Attendance: send email to the chair or secretary (leif.r.wilhelmsson@xxxxxxxxxxxx)
5.Presentations

   - 19/1065r1 – “PHY CR for Clause 30”, Vinod Kristem (Intel Corporation)

6. Adjourn
