Re: [STDS-802-11] Minutes Required to record attendance

+1 to Jon's response.

Attendance on a teleconference does NOT count towards 802.11 voting rights.
Attendance is recorded at teleconferences as part of our due process on accurately maintaining
meeting records documentation.

The rules have not changed.  2 out of 4 plenaries to maintain your voting rights.
The 2020 March Plenary was cancelled, so it will not be "one" of the 4.
Gaining voting rights will occur in July just as normally is done.
There was no voting rights granted in March 2020 as it was cancelled.
Losing voting rights are more likely for non-response to a Letter ballot than attendance.
Teleconference rules have not changed.
Recording Attendance on the calls has always a requirement, we just do a better job of recording it some days than others.
We hope that the limitations from the COVID-19 are short lived and we can return to normal soon.

Jon

Thanks Jon,

Several people on yesterday’s call wanted to know whether this attendance would be used for determining WG voting rights (like to 75% attendance requirement during F2F meetings). Can you clarify?

Regards,

Sigurd

Greetings,

Just a quick request, to help the secretaries of the various Task Groups, Study Groups and Standing Committees with attendance recording in minutes.

When we meet face to face, we use IMAT.

When we are on the Teleconferences, the Secretary is obligated to record who attends.

When the group is small, it is easy for the Secretary to record who is on the call.

For the larger groups, it is more difficult.  Please remember to send an email with your name and affiliation to the secretary for each call your on.

Look for the attendance list in the minutes and remind the secretary to include it if the secretary has forgotten.

Let's help each other out in complying with the recording requirements.

Kind Regards,

Jon
