[STDS-802-11] Balloting is complete for P802.11ay D7.0, will be submitted for RevCom/SASB 2021 March consideration

Dear 802.11 members,

Balloting has completed for P802.11ay D7.0. The TGay Comment Resolution Committee has rejected the 2 received comments (both from an APPROVE voter).
The SA balloting group and the EC have been notified. A copy of the notification to the EC is provided below for reference. This outlines the conditions that must be met when Conditional approval to submit to RevCom is given by the 802 EC:

Congratulations to the WG on completing the P802.11ay balloting process! Thanks especially to Edward Au, TGay Chair, Carlos Cordeiro, TGay editor, and all officers and participants of TGay for their contributions and work on this project.

The next step is submission for RevCom/Standards Board approval. Consideration of P802.11ay D7.0 will be on the 2021 March RevCom/SASB agenda.

"At the recent 2020 November Plenary, the EC approved a motion to conditionally submit P802.11ay to RevCom.  This email notifies the EC that

the conditions of the approval have been met, and P802.11ay D7.0 will be submitted to RevCom for consideration on the 2021 March RevCom/SASB agenda.

Conditions:

a)      Recirculation ballot is completed.

Response: Recirculation balloting is complete. P802.11ay D7.0 was recirculated, along with comment resolutions to comments received in the
prior recirculation. Two comments from an APPROVE voter were received. These comments were rejected by the BRC and the balloting group notified.

b)      After resolution of the recirculation ballot is completed, the approval percentage is at least 75% and there are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes.

Response: The approval percentage is 98% and there are no new valid disapprove votes.

 

c)       No technical changes, as determined by the Working Group Chair, were made as a result of the recirculation ballot.

Response: No changes were made as a result of the recirculation ballot.

 

d)      No new valid DISAPPROVE comments on new issues that are not resolved to the satisfaction of the submitter from existing DISAPPROVE voters.

Response: No new valid DISAPPROVE comments were received.

 

e)      If the Working Group Chair determines that there is a new invalid DISAPPROVE comment or vote, the Working Group Chair shall promptly provide details to the IEEE 802 LMSC.

Response: No new Disapprove votes were received.

 

f)       The Working Group Chair shall immediately report the results of the ballot to the IEEE 802 LMSC including: the date the ballot closed, vote tally and comments associated with any remaining disapproves (valid and invalid), the Working Group responses and the rationale for ruling any vote invalid.
