Overview

The IEEE P802.15 Wireless Next Generation Standing Committee (SCwng) for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) is chartered to facilitate and stimulate presentations and discussions on new Wireless related Technologies within the defined scope, that may be subject for new 802.15TG standardization projects (or does not fit within the current projects).
The WPAN technologies are not limited to only MAC/PHY layer.

Current Status

The Wireless Next Generation Standing Committee is preparing for the May 2008 Interim session in Jacksonville, Florida. The committee has announced a call for presentations and will entertain responses from those who wish to make a presentation to the WNG Standing Committee.

How to participate

  • Participate by attending our Meetings.
  • The SCwng conducts their discussions on the 802.15.wng SC Private Mailing List.  You can learn more about the 802.15 Mailing Lists by pointing your browser here.
