The IEEE 802.15 Working Group for WPANs™ has both a Public and a Private (Working Group) E-Mail Reflector a.k.a. Mailing List available by subscription. We also have E-Mail Reflectors for active 802.15 Task Groups and Study Groups. Instructions for subscribing and unsubscribing to 802.15 E-Mail Reflectors are listed below.

IEEE 802.15 Voters Mailing List

"stds-802-15@listserv.ieee.org" is the Private e-mail reflector of the IEEE 802.15 Working Group on Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs). This reflector is exclusively for the Group's official business. Technical discussions and questions, comments on presentations and documents, meeting announcements, etc., are welcome. To subscribe, please plan on attending our Meetings. By attending IEEE 802.15 Meetings (Plenary & Interim) you will accrue membership status which leads to voting rights. All of these rules are contained in our Approved IEEE P802.15 Operating Rules in Adobe PDF (585KB).

The chair of IEEE 802.15 uses the following categories of membership:

1. Voting members. Those members qualify for voting membership status.
2. Nearly voting members. Those have participated in two sessions of meetings, one of which being a plenary session within the time of 4 plenary sessions. Nearly voting members become voting members in the first Plenary session they attend following their qualification for nearly-membership.

3. Aspirant members. Those members have participated in one plenary or interim session of meetings within the time of 4 plenary sessions.
