Overview

The IEEE 802.15 Task Group 6 (BAN) is developing a communication standard optimized for low power devices and operation on, in or around the human body (but not limited to humans) to serve a variety of applications including medical,  consumer electronics / personal entertainment and other.

 

Current Status

IEEE 802.15 TG6 was formed in November 2007 and has issued:

Call for Applications  DCN: 69 rev. 1, due May 9, 2008.

Call for Indication of Intent to Propose  DCN: 166 rev. 1, due July 13, 2008.

How to participate

  • Participate by attending our Meetings. Present application requiring BAN, wireless technologies, which work well on, in or around the human body
