RE: stds-802-16-mac: A question on packing MAC Management Messages

Here's my opinion:
1. MAC management messages can be packed, and actually packing MPDU is a
very useful mechanism to allow a MPDU to accommodate multiple MAC management
messages on the same CID, such as, DCD/UCD/MAPs;
2. MAC management messages shall not be fragmented for implementation
simplicity.

Comments?

Subject: stds-802-16-mac: A question on packing MAC Management Messages

Hi,

In the TG1 draft standard IEEE P802.16/D3-2001, page 69, Section 6.2.2.3,
Figure 26 suggests that there is only one MAC Management Message per MAC
PDU.

Can anyone tell me if it is allowed to pack multiple MAC Management Messages
using the Packing Subheader? In other words, does an implementation have to
deal with fragmented and packed MAC Management Messages?

Thanks in advance!
