stds-802-16: Revised Invitation to Contribute for 802.16.1 MAC at Session #8

As you recall, at Session #7 the 802.16.1 Task Group unanimously
voted to invite a unified MAC proposal from the contributors of the
two proposals presented there.

Today, at Session #7.5, the 802.16.1 Task Group unanimously passed a
motion to revise the "Invitation to Contribute for 802.16.1 MAC at
Session #8". The revision makes one change; namely, the requirement
to:

* "Submit the document in the format of a draft standard."

is changed to:

* "Submit a document in the format of a draft standard that complies
with the requirements in the attached Technical Supplement."

The attached Technical Supplement is a 2.5-page detailed summary.

I would like to personally thank the participants, many of whom were
contributors of one of the two Session #7 proposals, for the superb
cooperative effort that led to this document. I anticipate an
outstanding MAC submission for us to consider at Session #8, and I
hope that 802.16 will be able to enthusiastically endorse sending a
draft to Working Group Letter Ballot on July 13.

Regards,

Roger
