On June 17, IEEE 802 Chair Jim Carlo sent the 802 Position Statement
<http://ieee802.org/16/802/positionBWIF.pdf> to key people in IEEE-SA
and ISTO. Since then, discussions have continued.

If you check the web <http://www.ieee-isto.org/071100_bwif.html>, you
will see some changes in the BWIF announcement. In particular, the
July 26 meeting has been rescheduled for August 30.

The story has also been reported in the press (e.g. "Wireless
coalition prompts IEEE eruption" in EE Times
<http://www.eet.com/story/OEG20000721S0038>).
