IEEE 802.16 Reflectors

IEEE 802.16 maintains a Working Group email reflector exclusively for the Group's official business. Technical discussions and questions, comments on presentations and documents, meeting announcements, etc., are welcome. Commercial discussions are not permitted. The IEEE E-Mail Acceptable Use Practices apply, as do the reflector rules (given here and in the "List Info").

*The "802.16 News" mailing list ("stds-802-16-news") has the sole purpose of distributing major announcements related to the Working Group. Those interested in following the progress of the group but not in the day-to-day details may wish to subscribe. Only the Working Group Chair is eligible to post to the list, and mailings will be rare: once after each bimonthly session and additionally for major news, such as the approval of a new standard. Those subscribing to the stds-802-16 mailing list, for active Working Group participants, need not subscribe to stds-802-16-news since the postings will be redundant.

*The "802.16 News" mailing list ("stds-802-16-docs") has the sole purpose of distributing automated notifications of contributions and other documents related to the Working Group.

Subscribing and Unsubscribing

The 802.16 reflectors are open to subscription by anyone. Records of the subscribers are not publicly available.

Subscriptions and unsubscriptions are self-managed. To subscribe, unsubscribe, or manage your subscription, follow the links in the table above, or manage all of your IEEE LISTSERV lists at once using the IEEE LISTSERV Subscriber's Corner

Don't send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to the lists! Your message will be rejected, and you will be unsuccessful.

Posting

• File attachments are prohibited on the 802.16 reflectors! If you must distribute want a file, you may upload the file and then include a hyperlink to the file in your email message. If you want the file to be published (that is, numbered, indexed, and archived) then you must use the proper IEEE 802.16 Submission Template.
• The word "subscribe" is taboo; messages with this word will be bounced from IEEE 802.16 reflectors. This protects the subscribers from incessant subscribe and unsubscribe requests erroneously directed to the reflectors.
• Please try to minimize multiple posting. Many people will be subscribed to several lists and do not want multiple copies of messages, so please target your note appropriately and cross-post judiciously.
• All messages are retained in an archive, as listed in the table above. The main reflector archive (stds-802-16) was initiated on 1 January 2001; all earlier messages are retained in an older historical archive.
• Posted messages (whether from subscribers or not) should be considered non-confidential and may be treated that way by subscribers and readers of the archives.
