Subject: [RPRWG] about OPNET models for Gandalf

ATTENTION: OPNET users who are studying Gandalf models
           John Hawkins
---------------------------------------------------------
A patch is released for Gandalf models which are available at:
http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/17/member/rpr_release_bin_120701.zip

The patch is attached to this e-mail as a zipped files.
The patch contains four node models.
The process models are NOT affected by this patch.
Scenarios studying raw packet traffic behavior are also NOT affected.
---------------------------------------------------------
Instructions for use:

This patch contains four files:

 RPR_ethernet4_slip4_rpr_router_adv.nd.m
 RPR_ethernet_router_adv.nd.m
 RPR_routing_wkstn.nd.m
 RPR_wkstn.nd.m

These files must replace the original files by the same names.
After extracting the zipped file, copy the patch files to the RPR model
directory to replace the original files.
---------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:
The presentation by Vassan Karighttam "Delay and Jitter for Darwin with
2 TB" as was presented in January'02 Interim meeting in Orlando, Florida
contained simulation results. Those results were obtained using Opnet
Modeler version 7.0.C. The patch is necessary only for scenarios using
Opnet Modeler version 8.0.B. Therefore, the presented results are NOT
affected by this patch.
---------------------------------------------------------
NOTE to John Hawkins:
Please make the attached file available for download in the members
area.

Thanks,
Pinar Yilmaz
