FW: [802-11TGR] Format of suggested draft changes

This is valid for 802.21 as well.
There have been several contributions in 802.21 (for July meeting) along
similar lines and we may want to discuss this during the meeting as
well...

Subject: [802-11TGR] Format of suggested draft changes

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Task Group R Technical
Reflector ---

There have been several submissions uploaded to the IEEE file server;
we will have a busy agenda.

I've noticed that some of the submissions are essentially portions of
one or another of the versions of the drafts, with edits made directly
to the text with change tracking turned on. I don't know if this is a
workable way to convey the desired changes; in the past what I've
usually seen are directives (substitute clause x.x.x with the
following; delete clause y.y.y, change clause z.z.z from .... to ....)

Is the group and the technical editor comfortable with working with
submissions that are essentially portions of a draft edited with the
desired changes with change tracking? I think we need to examine this
question, even if it's just to answer yes.
