RE: [802.21] Discussion on transport protocol selection for MIH!

Hi, Vivek,

Thanks for your feedback. I absolutely agree with your suggestion. Perhaps we should continue L3 transport related discussion in different thread.
Also, I would request interested folks to keep the discussion focused so that we only concentrate on the technical aspects of L3 transport without getting into subjective discussion.

Regards,
Ajoy

Well, maybe we can agree to sort this out...

As Stefano has said we should try to develop requirements for L3
Transport and not delve too much into solution space. That's a noble
goal we need to accomplish. However if discussions on CARD or any other
draft/protocol help you to extract requirements in a generic manner that
would be fine as well. It is clear that IETF would do the due diligence
to develop a proper solution (once the problem and requirements are
identified) and CARD may well fit the bill...
Also we probably need to get a good understanding of what part of work
is being handled by 802.21 itself and what part needs to be handled by
other standard bodies such as IETF.

So maybe we just need a new thread, but let's not give up on sorting
this out, just as yet.

Best Regards,
-Vivek
