RE: [802.21] 802.21 Requirements for 3GPP-Teleconference

Hi Peretz,

Thanks for your input. These requirements can be used to kick start the development of more detailed aspects of the interoperation. They certainly give a good idea of what the goal should be.

Ulises:

In the requirement section I'll add:

1) Aid 3GPP in the realization of Interworking Scenario 4 and 5 (ref.TR 22.934)
2) Ensure that 802.21 requirements be considered within other standard bodies
3) Drive the need to incorporate MIHF somewhere within the 3GPP access network. Have 3GPP SDO decide what element(s) is(are) best suited to support MIHFunctions
4) Update relevant 3GPP groups with latest development in 802.21 standards

Dear colleagues:

As per agreement during our last 802.21 meeting session in San Francisco CA, we will be holding a conference call tomorrow Thursday, August 11th from 9:00-11:00 A.M. EST.

I propose the following agenda:

Set up objectives for the 4 telecom conferences that we will be holding. As an initial proposal we might have:

Telecom 1 Outline initial Requirements, based on existing presentation proposal (attached)

Telecom 2 Basic use case specification

Telecom 3 Initial 3GPP letter draft

Telecom 4 Review draft and finalize letter.

Outline initial requirements, based on attached proposal.

Identify scenarios that are affected by 802.21 interactions, based on initial requirements

Identify 3GPP groups that shall receive information letter.

Please feel free to suggest additions/modification to agenda items.

Details on the conference bridge are as follows:

Number of lines: 20

Dial-In Number (USA/CANADA):    (866) 803-5836
