802.21d: multicast domains
In July meeting, I mentioned the term "multicast domain" in the
context of hybrid multicast in which an IP multicast network and an
application layer (overlay) multicast network are interconnected in
order to transparently exchange multicast data.
There are two ways to handle the issue with multicast domains:
a) Keep the requirement on not supporting multiple multicast domains
with adding a definition on "multicast domain".
b) Remove the requirement related to multiple multicast domains.
In the latter case, there is no need to define the term "multicast
domain".
