Submitting Documents

Currently, the simplest way to submit a document to the group is to mail a copy to the chair. The document will be placed on this web site.

Document Format

The preferred document format for read only distribution is PDF (Portable Document Format). Documents not submitted in PDF may be converted to PDF when placed on the web site. The original format will also be made available.

Documents intended to be integrated with a draft should be made available in Adobe Framemaker format. Alternatively, Microsoft Word can be used.

Slides may be made available in PDF or Microsoft Powerpoint.

Where there is a reason to use a different format, please use appropriate discretion. For example IETF documents submitted for discussion would likely be in ASCII text format and could be reasonably read by group members, so it might be appropriate to use that format.
