[802.3_100GCU] FW: [STDS-802-3] IEEE P802.3bj 100 Gb/s Backplane and Copper Cable 1st Sponsor recirculation ballot results



Task Force participants,

The first Sponsor ballot recirculation closed successfully on February 28 with 59 comments received. The results of the ballot are included in the forwarded message below.

I previously announced a teleconference meeting to take place on Friday March 7 from 9 to 11 am PST to discuss comments received against the draft. If you have not already done so, send an e-mail to adam.healey@xxxxxxx if you wish to participate in this discussion. Later this week, a meeting invitation will be sent to those who have expressed interest.

Please recall that requests for presentation time are due Friday March 7. The call for presentations may be found at the following link.

Dear Colleagues,

The 1st Sponsor recirculation ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3bj 100 Gb/s Backplane and Copper Cable closed successfully on 28th February 2014. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The March 2014 IEEE P802.3bj Task Force plenary week meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 59 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The comment database is available at <http://www.ieee802.org/3/bj/comments/index.html>.

The ballot statistics are:

  109 Voters
   73 Approve
   12 Disapprove 
    3 Abstain
   88 Ballots returned

  80.73% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
   3.41% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
  85.88% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
