Hello Everyone –

As I have indicated multiple times, we’re going to be started comment resolution a week earlier than expected.  Thus the previously announced 7/21 ad hoc will be extended to 3 hours and used for comment resolution.  See the schedule for comment resolution meetings below.

Wednesday, July 28 - 7-10am PDT

Subject: IEEE P802.3ck 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Electrical Interfaces 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot results

 

Dear Colleagues,

 

The 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3ck 100 Gb/s, 200 Gb/s, and 400 Gb/s Electrical Interfaces closed successfully on 3rd July 2021. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The upcoming IEEE P802.3ck Task Force meetings <https://ieee802.org/3/calendar.html> will consider the 123 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3ck Task Force reflector.

 

An additional 30 comments were received after the ballot closed, these comments will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3ck Task Force if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.

 

The ballot statistics are:

 

213 Voters

128 Approve

  10 Disapprove

  20 Abstain

158 Ballots returned

 

  74% Response Rate (> 50% required)

  12% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)

  92% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
