Tentative agenda, November 5 meeting
Dear colleagues,
For the Equalization Ad Hoc meeting on Sunday, November 5, I have so
far been able to construct the following tentative agenda. We will
start at 12:00 Noon.
1. Opening remarks - Vipul Bhatt. 5 minutes.
2. PMD & 10GbE - Tom Hanson. 20 minutes.
3. A unified method of calculating PMD-induced pulse broadening - Tom
Lenosky. 15 minutes. Tom will share with us his efforts to reconcile
the assumptions and calculations made in the Hanson and Dolfi
contributions. We need to agree on a unified method so we can
formulate our recommendations to Serial PMD ad hoc (regarding PMD
Penalty and/or horizontal eye closure.)
4. Proposed method for channel estimation - Kishore Kota. 20 minutes.
5. Interim observations on multimode channel's time variance - Oscar
Agazzi. 15 minutes.
6. Group discussion regarding our progress report to P802.3ae, 30
minutes. I am scheduled to present this report some time during the
P802.3ae meeting. But before that, in this ad hoc meeting, I will edit
the draft with you to make sure it reflects our consensus.
We will start at 12:00 Noon. I think we will easily be done by 3 p.m.
