[802.3_1PPODL] [802.3bu] Call for Presentations

The 802.3bu (1PPoDL) Task Force will meet at the next IEEE 802.3 Interim in Indian Wells on Monday and Tuesday (January 20 and 21). 802.3bp (RTPGE) meets Tuesday - Thursday and 802.3bt (4PPoE) meet Thursday and Friday, so interference between the groups should be minimal.
At long last, we can start to have serious technical discussions and begin to create the draft document for 1PPoDL. This happens by group members submitting "baseline proposal" presentations for draft specifications and the entire group discussing and voting on them. Progress is only made with presentations; if you have any input for the draft standard, please prepare a presentation with your proposals and bring it to the meeting. There are examples of typical presentations in other 802.3 group websites; in particular, the 802.3bp and bq groups have good presentation examples.
We will also spend some time on the structure of the draft document - we will be creating a new clause (Clause 96) from scratch and we need something to start with.
Deadline for submissions is Friday January 17th. Send presentations in PDF form and requests for presentation time to me at ddwelley@xxxxxxxxxx. I will post all submissions by Saturday January 18th to the new 802.3bu website at http://www.ieee802.org/3/bu/index.html .
