DESCRIPTION;LANGUAGE=en-US:When: Thursday\, August 21\, 2014 10:30 AM-12:00
  PM. (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nWhere: Conference Call\n\n*~*
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*\n\nThis is an announcement for an IEEE P802.3bs 400Gb/s E
thernet Task Force Configurations and Use Cases Ad Hoc Conference Call.\n\
n\nThe call will take place on Thursday August 21st from 7:30am-9:00am PDT
. Apologies for the early start but this is 10:30pm to midnight in China
.\n\n\nIf you are interested in presenting\, please request a timeslot by
Tuesday August 19th.\n\n\nThe FEC architecture is a critical aspect of the
400GbE project\, and there was a lot of discussion on this topic at the p
ervious task force meeting in San Diego.\n\n\nI would like to focus this c
all on gaining a better understanding of how the different FEC architectur
es (end-to-end\, embedded\, segmented) impact the various use cases\, and
how these use cases could/would subsequently evolve.\n\n\nPlease take a mo
ment to review the IEEE patent policy\, which may be found at http://www.i
eee802.org/3/patent.html\, which will be part of the meeting agenda.\n\n\n
Here is the link to the use case ad-hoc page\, which contains the presenta
tions and minutes from previous meetings.\n\n\nhttp://www.ieee802.org/3/bs
 /public/adhoc/usecase/index.shtml\n\n\nRegards\n\n\nGary\n\n\n+---+---+---
