This is a reminder for the next SMF Ad Hoc call which is scheduled for Tuesday 28 April from 7:30am-9:30am PST.

If you are interested in presenting, please request a timeslot by 12:00 noon PST Monday 27 April.  If there are no requests for presentations, the call may be cancelled.

 

The Ad Hoc summary of the BTIs to be resolved by the May meeting is:

BTIs common to all proposals:

·         Dispersion penalty worst case, TDP

·         RX sensitivity / technical feasibility

·         MPI

·         More test results

·         Evaluate Coupling between electrical and optical interfaces

 

BTIs for specific proposals

·         4 x 100 Gb/s DMT

o   Optical loss budget model

o   Interoperability

·         500m 4 x 50 GBd PAM4

o   Test results establishing acceptable BER curve

 

As a reminder:

·         stassar_02_0215_smf undertook to provide BTI responses for 8 x 50 Gb/s PAM4 by the May meeting

·         Mizuki Shirao and Chris Cole undertook to provide BTI responses for 8 x 50 Gb/s NRZ

·         corbeil_01_0215_smf undertook to provide BTI responses for 10 km 4 x 100 Gb/s DMT by the May meeting

·         Brian Welch undertook to provide BTI responses for 4 x 100 Gb/s PAM4
