Subject: [802.3_50G] Objectives Survey for 50Gb/s and NGOATH Study Groups

Dear Colleagues,

I presented a set of potential objectives for the study groups at this week’s ad hoc meeting:

The goal of the presentation was to share a full list of potential objectives to the study groups and to allow people to discuss, provide comments and to encourage people to pull together contributions in support for (or against) various proposals.

I’d offered to send out a Survey Monkey poll to allow us to anonymously gather some feedback on the list presented.  The results will help us focus our work towards building consensus on a full set of objectives to be adopted.

The survey is now live and can be accessed here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JQ3GL8R

I expect that many will be having holidays or shutdowns around now, so my plan is to keep the survey open until Mon Jan 4th @ noon ET.  I will report out the results at the ad hoc on Wed Jan 6th.

Regards…Mark
