I made some research, and I found out, that it is possible not only to prevent and correct errors, happening on the channel, by fec, but we can also increase the speed of the line. The key is, that first of all, we make the channel capacity measurement, that gives us the number of errorless transmittable bits by modulation used. If we increase the number of modulation prototypes, more bits will be transmitted through the channel in the same period of time, but more errors encounterred, so here is the field for fec application. As the result, higher transmission speed will be gained.
