[802.3_40GSMF] Announcing IEEE P802.3bg / D1.0 Comment Period

Title: Announcing IEEE P802.3bg / D1.0 Comment Period
Dear IEEE P802.3bg Task Force Participants,

This is the announcement of the opening of the Task Force Review comment period against the IEEE P802.3bg Task Force Draft 1.0. The P802.3bg/D1.0 draft includes the following clauses and annexes:

Clause 1

Clause 30

Clause 45

Clause 80

Clause 83

Clause 89 (new for P802.3bg)

Annex A

The Project Authorization Request for this project is posted at:
http://www.ieee802.org/3/40GSMF/40GESMF_SG_PAR_0110.pdf

The Five Criteria responses for this project are posted at:
http://www.ieee802.org/3/40GSMF/40GESMF_SG_5C_responses_0110.pdf

The Objectives for this project are posted at:
http://www.ieee802.org/3/40GSMF/40GESMF_SG_Objectives_0110.pdf
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Given the strong level of consensus within the task force and the maturity of the majority of the text used in D1.0 which was highly leveraged from the P802.3ba project, it is requested that the reviewers primarily focus on the technical and substantive aspects of D1.0 in their commenting.  While editorial comments are always valid, given the Task Force’s desire to request forwarding a draft to Working Group Ballot at the July Plenary, the task force will be better able to deal with editorial comments during the Working group ballot if D2.0 is released in July.
