Attached shorter comment and two option remedy for the problem that I am presenting which is:

According to the current spec PDs are required to change their Iinrush circuitry as function of the assigned class which no PD will do and thus make Type 3 and 4 PDs to be non-compliant.

The current spec also force PDs to support power demotion while it should be optional i.e. PD with higher Type when connected to lower PSE type “shall” work according to the current spec which is also incorrect.
