Re: [802.3_4PPOE] Backfeed presentation

Hi all,

Per the discussion today, to verify the issues that I have raised, I need to know more about the mechanism that cause the 2nd idea diode bridge that was not powered to be on and backfeed the PSE voltage of the powered alternative to the unpowered PSE alternative output;

  1. Does the unpowered ideal diode bridge is ON due to the following reason:

The control circuit that determines the diode bridge polarity has the same common as the powered ideal diode bridge so when the unpowered ideal diode bridge gets the 3rd pair (the positive) the control circuit is turning ON the 2nd ideal diode bridge?

  1. Please confirm that the polarity of the 2nd Ideal diode bridge is not depending at all in what is the polarity of the 1st ideal diode bridge in 3-pair mode (it has to be like that however I need to be sure that I am not missing anything in the problem statement).

Thanks

Yair

Hi all,

Some thoughts on backfeed and suggested changes to spec for the adhoc tomorrow.

Kind regards,
