All,

FYI there will be no P802.3bq Channel Modeling ad hoc meeting this week as the Task Force is meeting at this week’s IEEE Plenary.
A meeting cancellation will be sent out shortly.

Please accept my apologies for the short notification and oversight on my part.

Best regards,
~Pete

All,

As we discussed in our last Channel Modeling ad hoc, I will be cancelling this series and replacing it with a placeholder.
We will keep the same timeslot.

Dear Colleagues,

With this invitation, meetings of the IEEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc are scheduled for every other Tuesday at 8:00AM PDT through the end of July, 2014.
(We can adjust specific meeting dates & times as needed; the series will serve as a friendly reminder as you are planning any work for contributions.)

We are currently soliciting channel contributions that support the work of our P802.3bq Task Force PHY Proposal ad hoc.
Some topics of interest include system background noise in the PCB host channel, “cable dynamics” (changes in cable characteristics when cabling elements are moved), and cabling channel noise.

Participants are encouraged to review IEEE meeting guidelines available at the following URL - https://development.standards.ieee.org/myproject/Public/mytools/mob/preparslides.pdf
A proposed general agenda for the meeting follows.

Brad Booth & Pete Cibula
P802.3bq Channel Modeling ad hoc Co-Chairs

*I think I heard George Zimmerman claim this title in his last PHY proposal ad hoc meeting.
Competition for the coveted “most fun ad hoc” is heating up!
