As we discussed in our last Channel Modeling ad hoc, I will be cancelling this series and replacing it with a placeholder.
We will keep the same timeslot.
Dear Colleagues,
With this invitation, meetings of the IEEE 802.3bq Channel Modeling Ad Hoc are scheduled for every other Tuesday at 8:00AM PDT through the end of July, 2014.
(We can adjust specific meeting dates & times as needed; the series will serve as a friendly reminder as you are planning any work for contributions.)
We are currently soliciting channel contributions that support the work of our P802.3bq Task Force PHY Proposal ad hoc.
Some topics of interest include system background noise in the PCB host channel, “cable dynamics” (changes in cable characteristics when cabling elements are moved), and cabling channel noise.
A proposed general agenda for the meeting follows.

- Channel Modeling ad hoc sub-team updates with discussion – status of new/ongoing work
- PCB transmission lines and noise for 10GBASE-T systems (B. Booth and P. Cibula)
- MDI-to-MDI cabling channel (C. DiMinico and W. Larsen)
- MDI and isolation path (G. Zimmerman)
- New contributions with discussion
- Specific items will be announced before each meeting.
