Please note: this email covers three groups: 802.3bq, 25GBASE-T and NGEABT study groups.

 

Highlights:  

Deadline for requesting presentations: 11:59pm Friday January 2, 2015 AOE

Deadline for submitting presentations: 11:59pm Tuesday January 6, 2015 AOE

 

 

Meeting Information

The IEEE P802.3bq 40GBASE-T Task Force, 25GBASE-T Study Group, and NGEABT Study Group will be meeting at January 802.3 interim in Atlanta, GA, from Tuesday through Friday.

Scheduling Note:

The on-line schedule lists projects in integer multiples of days.    Monday: P802,3bq; Tues: 25GBASE-T SG; Th-Fr: NGEABT

However – to be efficient with our time we will start the next meeting if the prior one ends early.

Thus:
P802.3bq WILL begin on Tuesday morning.

25GBASE-T SG may begin on Tuesday afternoon if bq completes early.

NGEABT may begin Wednesday afternoon.

Our goal is to complete NGEABT by 2pm Friday to allow for Friday evening travel out of Atlanta.

 

Goals for this meeting:

P802.3bq: resolve comments on D1.1.1.  Schedule priority is given to presentations relating to comments.  Please indicate if your presentation is related to a comment on D1.1.1.

25GBASE-T: develop & approve Objectives, PAR & CSD to add 25GBASE-T to P802.3bq

NGEABT: develop & approve Objectives, PAR & CSD

 

 

Call For Presentations:

Requests for presentation time must be made two Fridays preceding the meeting.  For the upcoming meeting, requests for presentation time shall be made to me at david.chalupsky@xxxxxxxxx  and must be made by January 2, 2015.  The presenter shall e-mail a PDF, soft-copy version of the presentation to me at david.chalupsky@xxxxxxxxx by Tuesday of the week preceding the meeting.  For the upcoming meeting presentations must be submitted by January 6, 2015 AOE.   Please copy our secretary, George Zimmerman (george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), on your requests and presentation submittal.

 

In your presentation request email, please include the following information;

Title of Presentation

Abstract  -  (a brief abstract is greatly appreciated to help organize our meeting)

Time Requested

Presenter, Affiliation

Co-Author(s), Affiliation(s)

 

File name conventions

Please use the following convention for the presentation file name:

Filename: presenterlastname_<project>_nn_mmyy.pdf

Where project = 3bq for 40GBASE-T, 25gbt for 25GBASE-T, and ngeabt for next gen enterprise access BASE-T.

Where nn=01 for your first presentation and is incremented for additional presentations by the same author.

Presentation updates should be indicated by an alpha suffix to the presentation number.  Example an update to 01 is 01a.  All lower case, and no spaces please.

 

As a reminder, please make sure that all requests for presentations or submissions of presentation material have no restrictive notices in the email.  All such emails will be refused and requests / presentations will not be acknowledged.
