Great news, Duane, thanks for letting us all know. Hopefully NesCom will approve it as well.

Congratulations! The EC just approved the NG100G-EPON PAR and CSD and forwarded these project docs to NesCom.

Subject: [802.3_NGEPON] Title in PAR for 802.3ca

Colleagues,

I noticed in our PAR document the title is:

Approved Draft Standard for Ethernet Amendment: Physical Layer Specifications and Management Parameters for 25 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s Passive Optical Networks

While we added 50 Gb/s to the Scope statement, you may notice the “50 Gb/s” is missing from the title. I intend to request that we add 50 Gb/s to the title during the closing plenary this afternoon. The new title will therefore read:

Approved Draft Standard for Ethernet Amendment: Physical Layer Specifications and Management Parameters for 25 Gb/s, 50 Gb/s, and 100 Gb/s Passive Optical Networks

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Curtis
