Gavin presented ‘RTPGE EMC ad hoc Initial work plan’. The material was sent to the reflector on Thursday 13th December.

This presentation set out a work plan for the EMC ad hoc and described some questions that should be answered by the ad hoc. It also discussed topic areas for future contributions.

There was discussion of noise models and the coordination of work between the EMC ad hoc and the channel ad hoc.

Stefan asked if Thomas Hogenmueller could show some information regarding previous work on noise on PLC channels in the automotive environment to understand whether the data would be a useful contribution to the RTPGE EMC ad hoc. There was no objection. Thomas showed some information regarding power line noise modeling (in German). Discussion followed. It was agreed that the information would be useful to the EMC ad hoc and Thomas said he would try to put material together to make a contribution in January.

Next steps for the ad hoc are to create a list of items to track.
