[802.3_CU4HDD] Fwd: [STDS-802-3] IEEE P802.3cb 2.5 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s Backplane 4th Sponsor recirculation ballot results



802.3cb Task Force:

Sponsor Ballot Recirculation #4 has closed (see below). 2 comments came in. Those can be found on our Comment page
The D3.4 draft can be found on our Private page.

The May Interim meeting of the 802.3cb Task Force will fall on Thursday, 24-May-2018, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, local time.

The hope is that everything resolves without conflict and recirculation #5 is requested to start in June - to allow the smoke to clear on the completion of 802.3 base spec. The hope is that the July Plenary will be the point at which we request release to RevCom. Woohoo!

Dear Colleagues,

The 4th Sponsor recirculation ballot on the Amendment IEEE P802.3cb 2.5 Gb/s and 5 Gb/s Backplane closed successfully on 1st May 2018. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The May 2018 IEEE P802.3cb Task Force interim meeting <https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.ieee802.org_3_interims_index.html&d=DwIDAg&c=IGDlg0lD0b-nebmJJ0Kp8A&r=U0g6zTQA9ogRfTVZXMFWt9daOr_1NefP29n4n0vsWLM&m=iXZ5PmZFYKyodgs-Z8Lo5fl1fgyIrH8UXGqN5NMbuqo&s=VwIiBGMODrLSFEIQ7hJnQc9PixhSQSY8Z9chTi8a_0M&e=> will consider the 2 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3cb Task Force reflector.

The ballot statistics are:

  97 Voters
  83 Approve
   2 Disapprove
   6 Abstain
  91 Ballots returned

 93% Response Rate (>= 75% required)
  6% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
 97% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
