[802.3_50G] FW: [802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3cd 50 Gb/s, 100 Gb/s, and 200 Gb/s Ethernet 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation bal-lot results



Dear Colleagues,

Please see David Law’s email below on the results of P802.3cd D2.1 recirculation.

Thank you for all you who took the time to review and to submit comments.  We received 88 comments from 8 reviewers plus 3 late comments from an additional reviewer.

The editorial team is currently working on preparing some proposed responses that will be posted as soon as possible.  We will be addressing these comments in the September meeting in Charlotte.  Please remember this Friday’s deadline for presentation requests for any presentations that people want to make in support of the comments and comment resolution.

    The 1st IEEE 802.3 Working Group recirculation ballot on the amendment IEEE P802.3cd 50 Gb/s, 100 Gb/s, and 200 Gb/s Ethernet closed successfully on 24th August 2017. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The September 2017 IEEE P802.3cd Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 88 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE P802.3cd Task Force reflector.
    
    An additional 3 comments were received after the ballot closed, these comments will be marked as 'late' in the comment report and will be considered by the IEEE P802.3cd Task Force if, based on a vote if necessary, there is no objection to do so.
    
    The ballot statistics are:
    
     200 Voters
     128 Approve
       4 Disapprove 
      14 Abstain
     146 Ballots returned
    
     73.00% Response Rate (> 50% required)
      9.59% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
     96.97% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
