[802.3_10SPE] Editors Questions on 1000m link Draft 1.0

Hi,
The editor had some open issues on SPE-L Link in Draft 1.0

Delay clause 146.7.1.4

There are no preferences and the proposal would be

at 3.75 MHz delay less than 5500ns.

This correspond to 1000m cable with an NVP of 0.6

-----------

Electromagnetic classification clause 146.7.1.5

As the editor mentions table 146-8 needs to be referred to by a limit.

It is proposed to insert coupling attenuation for shielded links and TCL and ELTCTL for unshielded links

similar to 802.3bp (shielded) and in ISO/IEC as limits to point to table 146-8

Entry for table 146-8 for coupling attenuation A-20lg(f/100)

Entry for table 146-8 for TCL    B-15lg(f)

Entry for ELTCTL                        C -20lg(f)

The proposal would then be:

E1
E2
E3
CA
40-20lg(f/100) 50-20lg(f/100) 60-20lg(f/100)
TCL
53-15lg(f) 63-15lg(f) 73-15lg(f)
ELTCTL
30 -20lg(f) 40 -20lg(f) 50-20lg(f)

Details were presented at the ad hoc webex December 20.
