[802.3_10SPE] Editor's proposed responses, EZ bucket, & Editorial bucket posted

Thank you to our editorial team for working through a long and difficult week, carefully proposing resolutions to the 422 comments received on the initial Standards Association ballot of IEEE P802.3cg (draft 3.0).  The proposed responses are posted at the usual place: http://www.ieee802.org/3/cg/comments, in various sorts and in an excel spreadsheet format.

As announced in the ballot email, responses to the comments will be considered and formed at the 802.3cg Task Force meeting (as the Comment Resolution Group, or CRG) to be held during the IEEE 802.3 Working Group Interim meeting series week, starting at 8:30am Wednesday May 22, and continuing until 5pm Friday May 24, or, if we finish our work early, earlier.  Information on attending the meeting may be found at http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims , and the registration link is http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/may19/index.html .

As is our usual process, the Editor’s have taken simple, obvious errors, and grouped them by topic.

Those comments with the Topic EZ (the “EZ” bucket), the Editor proposes to adopt the proposed responses by a bulk motion.

Those comments with the Topic Editorial (the “Editorial” bucket), the Editor proposes to adopt the proposed responses by another bulk motion.

As is our usual process, if you wish to have any comments in the EZ or Editorial bucket removed from the bulk motion, please email the reflector with the ID’s of the comments to be removed.  No reason is necessary.  Those comments will then be discussed individually at the meeting.

We request that you let us know of comments to pull from the EZ or Editorial bucket by Sunday, May 19.
